The Garden Arms Hotel

A warm welcome awaits you at The Garden Arms Hotel. Run by owners Derek and Lorraine Toal, we are very much a family business. We are set in one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland, overlooking stunning coastlines, harbour with bobbing boats and the ever changing sky a rich palette for artists. Gardenstown has a deep sense of community, and we believe we are at the heart of this. The hotel has stood and traded for 278 years and has been host to many famous people – Bram Stoker stayed here in 1896!!

Here at The Garden Arms Hotel we have letting rooms, a restaurant, bar and lounge area. We serve bar meals and also cater for parties, family celebrations and we even cater for small weddings.

We have a full license to serve food and drink both indoors and outdoors and we have recently added an outdoor marquee to enhance your al fresco dining experience. Dogs are more than welcome in our outdoor space.

Normally we have a range of events in our yearly calendar, Burns nights, themed nights, Valentines, Mothers day, Easter meals and Festive nights. The last Friday of every month is cocktail night and there is a popular, book club, quiz night every Thursday. A local book club meets here and we organise occasional events including a whisky club. These will return as soon as the current restrictions are lifted, and we are making ourselves ready to meet all continuing government guidelines.
